    **The Role:** You are a highly collaborative Designer and Manager looking to lead the creative strategy and design development across many brands and design touchpoints; from brand design & 360° brand world, design guidelines, key visuals, packaging design or art direction, to name just a few. You are a skilled designer yourself and have a passion for good design and clever thinking, leading other designers to excellence and providing mentorship to the designers at various levels. As Design Manager, you are building strong relationships where you are trusted and valued by your peers and clients alike, collaborating easily with internal teams and in presentations to external stakeholders.

    Responsibilities:

    + Report to the Creative Director(s) and assist in leading creative development across multiple projects and brands

    + Manages multiple projects from concept to completion and translates brief objectives into actionable creative strategies.

    + Manages designers across multiple projects by reviewing their creative, keeping projects moving, and finalizing creative work for release on time and on brief.

    + Proactively collaborates with strategy copywriting, 3D or animation production leads to discuss brief requirements and coordinates their work to deliver on project needs.

    + Manage the scope of work, objectives, and quality of deliverables to ensure a flawless execution of creative projects

    + Actively participate in the development of new business, including development of proposals and budgets. Delivers strong pitches and seeks to influence results

    + Maintain knowledge and awareness of latest design industry trends, needs, and best practices.

    + Comfortable working with production teams across a variety of mediums; print, web, 3D, animation, photography, video etc…

    + Work collaboratively and proactively with a team and clients, tailoring design approach and process to meet the needs of the brief

    + Set creative vision and inspire the design team — Providing creative input and expertise across the company

    + Estimate design hours needed for tasks and ensure project team(s) deliver projects on budget and on time and always communicating to account leads and directors any changes when needed

    + Contributes to ways of working and sets and enforces standards for creative team to follow to uphold industry standards and meet client expectations

    + Develops long-lasting client relationships through the consistent delivery of high quality, strategically led creative solutions.

    + Confident and passionate in presenting design to clients

    + Facilitate relationship between Creative and Client Service and Strategy to ensure effective communication between teams

    Qualifications:

    + Bachelors degree required, field related to art or graphic design

    + 7+ years experience

    + 2+ year experience in a position directing other designers

    + Expert experience in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft

    + Experience using collaboration tools like Miro or Figma

    + Collaborative, with creative superpowers that compliment a team

    + Ability to define and solve complex design problems through visual representation/interpretation. Set forth a creative vision and inspire other designers and creative partners

    + Creative project leadership, strong project management and time management skills. Excellent coaching and mentoring skills. Ability to supervise and delegate effectively.

    + Comfortable leading direction for photography or video productions, from directing designers in creating briefing documents and finalizing vision for art direction, to on-set collaborations, and managing post-production review and feedback

    + Ability to work to tight timelines, and collaborate with colleagues to meet team deadlines

    + Excellent typographical eye and attention to detail

    + Ability to think strategically and help evolve conceptual ideas

    + Experience with print production, and knowledge of requirements for printing in a variety of methods, and seeks to learn from and design with production in mind

    + Some experience (& enthusiasm) for working in a remote environment

    The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $75,600.00 - $189,000.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
