    We are seeking a hands-on and detail-oriented **R&D Technician** to support our Research & Development team. Working under the direct supervision of an R&D Scientist, the technician will assist in bench-top formulation work, raw material testing, competitive product analysis, and basic analytical testing. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with a background in food science, culinary arts, or food manufacturing who is eager to gain experience in a lab environment with strong GMP and safety standards.

     

    **Pay Rate:** $21.00/hour

    **Schedule:** Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM or 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

    **Terms:** Contract to Hire

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Assist with bench-top development of food formulations and ingredient testing

    + Weigh, mix, cook, and bake products according to experimental designs

    + Support shelf-life studies, competitive benchmarking, and analytical data collection

    + Maintain clean and organized laboratory and work areas

    + Document formulations, procedures, and results accurately and consistently

    + Perform analytical tests as trained

    + Follow all safety, GMP, and lab policies and procedures

    Qualifications:

    + High School diploma or Associate’s degree (AS) in Food Science or related field preferred

    + 0–2 years of relevant experience in food labs, kitchens, or manufacturing environments

    + Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

    + Curious, eager to learn, and able to take initiative

    + Solid interpersonal skills and ability to work well on a team

    + Basic written communication and documentation skills
