    Position Summary:Pricing Specialist position supports the Trading & Pricing business unit in the West Division of the Commercial organization and is primarily responsible for analyzing and querying multiple data sources to consolidate enterprise data to inform the business and support effective pricing decisions for (ARCO, and Licensed brands of Shell, and Exxon/Mobil) fueling stations. The Price Specialist role analyzes, monitors and adjusts to the competitive retail areas for our Retail Operations Team for markets in California, Arizona and Nevada.

     

    This position works closely with internal business partner on the Retail Operations Team (which is comprised of Marketing Field Representatives and Managers, Logistics, Supply, Billing, Business Planning & Analysis, and internal IT personnel). Seeking a team-oriented self-starter with strong analytical skills, highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and visualizations programs (among other analytical tools), to thrive in a dynamic environment.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Executes daily pricing for multiple gasoline and distillate product commodities, classes of trade, and geographies according to operational strategies within assigned geographies with management guidance.

    + Collaborates with key business partners to execute short- and long-term strategies to maximize value chain contribution with Commercial Market teams to actively optimize sales vs. forecast.

    + Monitors market trends. Reviews daily retail street pricing surveys, monitoring competitive trends within market.

    + Analyzes monthly performance on volume within respective regions and brands (including licensed brands).

    + Assesses Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for pricing functions. Performs ad hoc analysis and communicate insights to management/operational teams and pursue enhancements and process improvements.

    + Efficiently utilizes Pricing systems and tools. Troubleshoots issues and collaborates with support partners to promptly changes.

    Education and Experience:

    + Bachelor’s Degree required.

    + Minimum 2 years of experience in analytical, pricing and/or revenue/profitability roles (preference in fuel marketing, sales or product supply industries).

    + Advanced Excel skills required, with regular business use for data collection, analysis, and reporting (formulas, pivot tables, charts including preparation for management presentations)
