    Position Summary

    We are looking for a Product Line Senior Quality Engineer to work in the Controls Avionics Solutions Business in Endicott, NY where we supply electronic solutions to US and Foreign military customers. The Quality Engineer supports programs in the value streams within the CAS Business Area. The Quality Engineer will support the manufacturing floor with quality issues, react to key program metrics, participate in root cause and corrective action (RCCA) investigations, drive corrective actions, and foster continuous improvements.

    As a Senior Quality Engineer, Product Line you will make impacts in the following ways;

    + Protect the company / department from shipping nonconforming material.

    + Participate in RCCA with Corrective and Preventative Actions.

    + Have an understanding of AS9102 and proficient in performing First Article Inspections (FAI).

    + Hardware Dispositions.

    + Operator Feedback and Inspections.

    + Part issue investigation/ Coordination with SQE (Supplier Quality Engineering).

    + Data Trending.

    + Action tracking and closure.

    + May be certified in lean and six-sigma quality methodologies and utilize quality tools to help drive continuous improvement.

    + Audit support.

     

    Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed full-time on site. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time.

    Required Education, Experience, & Skills

    + 4 year technical degree or equivalent exp

    + 3 or more years experience working in a manufacturing field preferably with electronics hardware.

    + Strong communication skills and demonstrated experience in a team environment with technical and non-technical coworkers.

    + Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

    + Experience with First Article Inspection (FAI).

    + Driving down Cost Of Poor Quality

    + Experience with running reports on programs and pareto charts to drive down DPU.

    + Effective interpersonal skills with a desire to learn within a highly collaborative, fast-paced team environment.

    Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

    + Experience working with development hardware programs where design changes are common.

    + Experience using DISCUS tool for First Article Inspections (AS9102).

     

    Pay Information

     

    Full-Time Salary Range: $81500 - $138600

     

    Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
