    Salary: $900 / Week

     
     

    Position Type: Full-Time | 2025–2026 School Year

     

    Salary: Based on experience and certification (per district salary schedule)

     

    Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with special needs? Bessemer City Schools is seeking dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teachers to join our team for the upcoming school year.

     
     

    + Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)

    + Provide differentiated instruction tailored to student needs

    + Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff

    + Maintain accurate records and monitor student progress

    + Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment

    ? Qualifications:

    + Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or related field

    + Valid Alabama Professional Educator Certificate in Special Education

    + Knowledge of IDEA, IEP development, and instructional strategies

    + Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

    + Experience working with diverse learners preferred
