Salary: $2047 / Week

Position Summary:

Seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to lead a semi-self-contained classroom for middle school students with diverse learning needs. The ideal candidate will provide individualized instruction, foster a supportive learning environment, and collaborate with general education staff to ensure student success across settings.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student’s academic, social, and emotional needs.

+ Deliver differentiated instruction in core subjects (e.g., ELA, Math, Science, Social Studies) within a semi-self-contained setting.

+ Collaborate with general education teachers to support inclusion opportunities and co-teaching models.

+ Utilize evidence-based instructional strategies and behavior management techniques.

+ Monitor and document student progress toward IEP goals and state standards.

+ Communicate regularly with families, related service providers, and support staff.

+ Create a structured, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment that promotes independence and self-advocacy.

+ Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and professional development activities.

+ Maintain compliance with IDEA , state regulations , and district policies.

Qualifications:

+ Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or related field.

+ Valid New Hampshire teaching certification in Special Education (e.g., K–8 or 5–12).

+ Experience working with students with mild to moderate disabilities (e.g., learning disabilities, ADHD, autism spectrum disorders).

+ Strong understanding of differentiated instruction , behavioral supports , and assistive technology .

+ Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
