Job Summary:
As the Senior HR Business Partner/Senior HR Program Manager, you will support our San Antonio, TX facility and client groups, including Inside Sales, Customer Service, and Technical Support teams. In this critical role, you will drive HR initiatives that enhance employee experiences, improve workplace culture, and contribute to business success.
**This on-site position requires your presence at the San Antonio facility 5 days per week** , ensuring strong collaboration with employees and leaders while fostering meaningful connections.
Reporting to a Senior HR Director, you will partner closely with HR Centers of Excellence (COEs) and local leadership to deliver impactful programs in talent acquisition, cultural transformation, inclusion, employee relations, total rewards, organizational effectiveness, and more. As a trusted advisor, you will empower leaders to implement HR solutions that align with strategic objectives.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
1. Develop and Execute HR Action Plans:
+ Collaborate with department leaders to identify HR priorities and create actionable plans.
+ Align HR strategies with the goals of the San Antonio Call Center and its client groups.
+ Support critical HR processes, including workforce planning, compensation reviews, and performance management in partnership with HR COEs.
+ Develop and implement strategies to improve employee retention, engagement, and succession planning to support long-term business needs.
2. Talent Acquisition and Onboarding:
+ Partner with the Talent Acquisition team to ensure the successful recruitment of critical roles, including workforce planning and hiring strategies.
+ Oversee onboarding programs to ensure new hires are effectively integrated into the organization, fostering a positive first impression and long-term engagement.
3. Organizational Design, Effectiveness, and Change Management:
+ Design and implement organizational change initiatives to enhance team effectiveness.
+ Provide expert guidance on change management strategies to help leaders and employees adapt to evolving business needs.
4. Training and Development:
+ Identify training needs and collaborate with Talent Management teams to deliver impactful professional development programs.
+ Drive leadership development initiatives to enhance management capabilities and prepare leaders for future roles.
5. Employee Relations and Engagement:
+ Partner with the Employee Relations COE to proactively address and resolve employee concerns, ensuring a fair and compliant approach.
+ Support leaders in managing performance, including coaching on employee development and improvement plans.
+ Collaborate with leaders to foster a positive organizational culture and drive employee engagement initiatives.
6. Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI):
+ Champion DEI efforts by developing and implementing initiatives that promote a diverse, inclusive, and equitable workplace.
+ Partner with leadership to embed DEI principles into everyday practices and long-term strategies.
7. HR Data Analytics and Reporting:
+ Monitor and analyze HR metrics to identify trends and provide actionable insights for leaders.
+ Leverage data-driven decision-making to measure progress, communicate outcomes, and support business objectives.
8. Compliance and Policy Guidance:
+ Ensure adherence to labor laws, company policies, and compliance standards.
+ Serve as a resource to leaders and employees for policy interpretation, ensuring clarity and consistency across the organization.
Working Conditions
+ Full-time on-site presence at the San Antonio facility, with occasional travel (up to 10%).
+ Standard office hours with flexibility for occasional extended hours based on business needs.
Must Have Requirements:
+ Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years of progressive HR experience
+ OR, advanced degree with 5+ years of experience
Nice to Have:
+ MBA or master’s degree in human resources.
+ Experience supporting sales, customer service, or technical support teams.
+ Previous roles in large, global, matrixed Fortune 500 organizations, with a proven track record of implementing HR programs.
+ Strong knowledge of HR laws and regulations.
+ HR certification (e.g., PHR, SPHR).
+ Experience in the medical device, consumer product, or call center environments.
+ Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$139,200.00 - $208,800.00
This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).
The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20+ hours per week: Health, Dental and vision insurance, Health Savings Account, Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, Life insurance, Long-term disability leave, Dependent daycare spending account, Tuition assistance/reimbursement, and Simple Steps (global well-being program).
The following benefits and additional compensation are available to all regular employees: Incentive plans, 401(k) plan plus employer contribution and match, Short-term disability, Paid time off, Paid holidays, Employee Stock Purchase Plan, Employee Assistance Program, Non-qualified Retirement Plan Supplement (subject to IRS earning minimums), and Capital Accumulation Plan (available to Vice Presidents and above, or subject to IRS earning minimums).
Regular employees are those who are not temporary, such as interns. Temporary employees are eligible for paid sick time, as required under applicable state law, and the Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Please note some of the above benefits may not apply to workers in Puerto Rico.
