The primary responsibility of this engineering technician position is wafer level electrical characterization of semiconductor devices in the Advanced Technology Development (ATD) Characterization Lab organization. This is an excellent opportunity to use a wide range of test and measurement equipment and to develop new technical skills in an exciting development environment. The candidate will work closely with reliability engineers and also interact regularly with process integration, device characterization, SPICE modeling, fab and design engineers to help develop novel tests & test methods and optimize testing efficiency.
Additional responsibilities: assisting with lab organization and upkeep including equipment calibration, coordinating equipment maintenance, equipment inventory, tracking incoming and outgoing silicon, lab safety and compliance. This position requires strong analytical skills, basic programming skills for testing, and strong communication skills.
The Characterization Lab plays a vital role in supporting characterization for process technology development in the Advanced Technology Development (ATD) group.
The work schedule is expected to be 1st shift.

Qualifications - External
+ **Minimum requirements**
+ AAS degree in electronics related field or equivalent military training and/or experience as a lab technician.
+ 5+ year experience in wafer level electronics characterization testing (Parametric, Reliability)
+ **Location** : Dallas, TX
+ **Preferred qualifications:**
+ Experience with operating test equipment (Probers, Parametric Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, etc.)
+ Strong verbal and written communication skills
+ Ability to work in teams and collaborate with people in different functions
+ Ability to take the initiative and drive for results
+ Strong time management skills that enable on-time project delivery
+ Working well in a team environment is imperative in this role.
+ Demonstrated ability to build strong, influential relationships
+ Good listener and excellent verbal and written communication skills
+ Experience with PC/Windows environment and Excel and Office applications
