Required Qualifications: Applicants must specifically address how they meet these required qualifications to meet the requirements of the position.
+ Bachelor’s Degree with 1 – 3 years of related experience, including supervisory experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
+ Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage technical projects.
+ Expert-level knowledge of building automation and fire protection systems.
+ Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
+ Must have a valid Texas Driver’s License and maintain eligibility to drive a university vehicle pursuant to the University’s Driver Selection Policy.
+ Required to carry a cell phone and be available in emergent situations.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Experience using Desigo building automation system.
+ Previous work experience in a higher education environment.
+ Working knowledge of ASHRAE , OSHA , and NFPA standards.
+ Experience using AIM IWMS by Asset Works.
Job Description
The Technical Services Supervisor is responsible for managing and maintaining all campus electronic and mechanical fire systems, computerized energy management systems, security systems, and other electronic control systems. Leads a team of technicians in the design, installation, programming, and maintenance of building automation systems. This role ensures that all building control and mechanical fire systems operate efficiently, meet performance standards, and comply with safety and regulatory requirements.
Job Duties
+ Manage the day-to-day activities of a team.
+ Establish tasks for a team.
+ Oversee and manage staff work.
+ Plan and coordinate daily office operations.
+ Write specifications and contracts for bid and contract labor.
+ Coordinate large projects for fire and BMS systems.
+ Direct maintenance and modification of campus fire protection and BMS systems.
+ Perform preventative maintenance and repair components.
+ Monitor controls for all buildings to ensure efficient operations.
+ Direct maintenance and modification of campus fire alarm systems.
+ Assist the MEP Manager with the preparation of reports and facts in relation to various project issues, performance metrics, and department efficiency analysis.
+ Review, plan, and oversee projects involving fire alarm and energy management systems.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.
