    Daily responsibilities involve the measuring of precision machined components to Aerospace AS9100 procedures using CMM’s, micrometers, comparators as well as other various types of manufacturing gages.

     

    Opportunity is currently part time but could lead to full time as company's workload increases.

    JOB DESCRIPTION:

    + Perform 1st piece, in-process, and final inspections of machined parts per the customer’s spec or AS9100 standard.

    + Uses CMM programs to inspect and document critical dimensions.

    + Records inspection data as required in a neat and orderly way.

    + Perform yearly Gage calibrations.

    + Performs physical inspection of raw material and compares material certs.

    + Basic understanding of machine shop equipment and operation.

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    + CMM experience (specifically Zeiss Calypso is a plus)

    + Ability to read and understand specifications, drawings, procedures, and other materials as necessary to assure that components being produced are according to specification and/or required drawing.

    + Ability to use various measuring equipment for inspections and calibration.

    + Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and with proper legible handwriting.

    + Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an ISO/AS9100 certified machine shop.

    + Basic math and computer skills as well as an understanding of geometric tolerances.
