ADMISSIONS SHIFT LEAD
SCOPE OF JOB
The Admissions Shift Leader is responsible for assisting the Admissions Supervisor and Admissions Manager and the Admissions teams as a part of the day-to-day operations of the department. In this role, you will lead a team of fun driven and enthusiastic magic and memorable experience makers. Through diligent work and optimal fun, you will strive to achieve the financial targets as well as lead and develop your team. This is a Full-Time Hourly position (up to 40 hours/week).

• Key driver of an enthusiastic, welcoming first point of contact for guests.
• Primary Trainer/Role Model in all areas of Admissions
• Support the Operations Team in delivering memorable experiences
Qualifications & Experience
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Working at the direction of the Admissions Manager, the Admissions Shift
Lead's goal is delivering unique, memorable, and rewarding experiences to all
our guests.
• Leads by example. Coaches and motivates staff to provide best possible guest
experience, to maximize sales opportunities and to ensure secondary spend
targets are achieved.
• Recommends short-term and long-term changes through feedback, daily
reports and proposals.
• Work with the Admissions Manager to develop staff incentives to increase
individual motivation and promote teamwork.
• Monitor performance in achieving Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and
Mystery Visit targets.
• Assist with the hiring, training, scheduling, and supervising of team members.
Ensure all team members are trained in resolving guest concerns, up selling, and providing accurate attraction information. · Adopts an enthusiastic, assertive and passionate approach to guest service, and demonstrates the Merlin Values at every opportunity. · Ensure all public areas have well stocked displays and point of sale, ready for the attraction opening and that the areas are maintained and kept in a clean and tidy manner throughout the day. · Responsibility to ensure compliance of Health, Safety & Security within the workplace

- Understand risk assessments within own workplace and ensure reporting of any
new risks to appropriate manager.
- Ensure own compliance of safe working procedures in place for work activities
within job role.
- In cases of incidents or accidents ensure appropriate reporting is completed in a
timely manner and if necessary the corrective action has been taken to avoid
repeat of such incidents and accidents.
Qualifications
- 1-2 years supervisory experienced preferred.
- A natural team leader with a confident, assertive, but approachable personality.
- Fun, Dynamic, and friendly personality.
- Experience with a computer-based Point of Sale system.
- Excellent communication, listening, and motivational skills.
- Proven ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and multi-task as
necessary.
- Desire to work in fast-paced environments.
- Full open availability required including weekends and holidays.
