Austin Bridge & Road** is currently seeking a **Project Control Specialist** to join our team in **Coppell, Texas** . This role is essential in supporting both the Project Controls Department and project teams by integrating project management and cost control functions to improve overall project performance. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills and a proactive approach to ensuring the smooth execution of construction projects from start to finish **.
Responsibilities:
+ Assist with preparing and managing project budgets.
+ Compile and share regular project updates and reports with leadership.
+ Support key project phases, including kick-off and closeout activities.
+ Keep our project management system (HCSS) updated, especially for new team members.
+ Review projects to ensure they meet TAW2 compliance standards.
+ Conduct risk assessments when needed to help keep projects on track.
+ Lead a variety of training sessions—from onboarding new hires to ongoing learning opportunities.
+ Pitch in on special projects as they come up.
+ Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on project goals and timelines.
+ Help identify opportunities for process improvements within project controls.
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field (preferred).
+ Excellent organizational and time management skills.
+ Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
+ Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
+ Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
+ Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
Requirements:
+ Proven experience in construction project administration or a related role.
+ At least 2 years of construction-related experience.
+ Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word.
+ Excellent organizational and time management skills.
+ Effective communication skills with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
+ Familiarity with construction project management software such as CMiC, HCSS, or Primavera P6.
+ Solid understanding of construction contracts, regulations, and industry best practices.
+ Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
+ A proactive, customer-focused attitude with a willingness to assist wherever needed.
+ Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites as needed.
