Located on a lush tropical campus, our flagship hospital, 1,368-bed AdventHealth Orlando. Serves as the major tertiary facility for much of the Southeast, the Caribbean and South America. AdventHealth Orlando houses one of the largest Emergency Departments and largest cardiac catheterization labs in the country. We are already one of the busiest hospitals in the nation, providing service excellence to more than 32,000 inpatients and 125,000 outpatients each year
Job Summary:
The **Manager Consumer Experience Design** leads projects and resources focused on creating an exceptional experience for consumers across AdventHealth. Leveraging human-centered design skills, this role manages initiatives focused on the complete immersive consumer experience, including people, process and place, with a deep understanding of how the digital experience integrates across the consumer journey. Working with the Director of Strategic Design and others, this role serves as a change agent, and is responsible for driving conceptual thinking, vision and interpretation of the organization's strategy, as it relates to consumer experience. The Manager engages in complete mapping of the consumer journey across the AdventHealth connected network and prioritizes opportunity for experience improvement and re-design. This role will drive the design of human experiences that are holistic and reach our internal and external audiences in a way that supports our mission and business, while also strengthening our brand equity and reach.
This role partners closely with Consumer Division/Experience Strategy colleagues and leaders at both the corporate and market levels to identify, prioritize and drive initiatives that impact the human experience of those we serve. Expert collaboration and matrixed partnership skills are a core requirement of this role, with strong liaisons to brand/marketing, the design center, IT-digital, clinical, human resources, operations and strategy. This role partners to provide a vision for the broad picture of consumer experience across our entire system, while working closely with leaders in our markets to connect broad strategies to local operationalization. The Manager helps to foster a healthy and effective creative culture throughout the organization with a focus on strong communication, collaboration, innovation, process and workflow practices.
You Will Be Responsible For:
Essential** **Function:
+ Participate in the initial and ongoing development of guiding principles, internal philosophy on strategies for Consumer Experience to ensure success.
+ As requested by the Director of Strategy & Design, participate in formal and informal presentations across the company (executives to front line staff) on design thinking, innovation and like topics.
+ Provide inspiring leadership and cultivate a learning, creative and highly productive work environment.
+ Partners closely with consumer division colleagues to prioritize and address efforts that most impact the human experience for our consumers
+ Ensure solutions are co-created within parameters established by the Director of Strategy & Design.
+ Provide management to the design of ideation sessions and ensure effective and professional facilitation.
+ Collaborate with consumer intel/mkt research, marketing, user experience and other internal teams as appropriate to ensure the voice of the customer directly or indirectly influences solutions.
+ Formulates short- and long-term design goals with clear strategies, deliverables and timelines for achieving them
+ Work with a cross-functional internal teams of product managers and activation managers to support overall delivery of consumer experience projects.
+ Lead transformation efforts to ensure shared progress of initiatives; collaborate on key announcements or communications, driving transformation visibility and engagement
Qualifications
What Will You Need:
Education and Experience Required:
+ **Bachelors degree in business, Communications, Design Thinking, Human Centered Design, Innovation, Sociology, Psychology or like degree**
+ **3 years experience in immersive, human-centered design in a professional setting**
+ Experience facilitating design labs to co-create solutions to complex problems/possibilities
+ Experience leading design teams
+ Experience working with executive leadership
+ Portfolio demonstrating ability to manage design projects and lead design teams
+ Design Project Portfolio demonstrating robust design thinking methodology including visual story-boarding expertise, robust design research methodology and deve
