Sodexo is seeking an **Executive Chef 1** for **Catering and Concessions Services** at **Grand Canyon University** , located in **Phoenix, AZ** . Sodexo at Grand Canyon University provides high-quality catering services to support a wide variety of campus events—from VIP receptions and academic conferences to student banquets and athletic functions. Our catering operation focuses on exceptional service, culinary creativity, and fresh, scratch-made menus that reflect both classic and contemporary offerings. The Catering team works in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment where attention to detail, flexibility, and flawless execution are key.

Sodexo’s Concessions team at Grand Canyon University supports major on-campus events, including athletics, concerts, and special gatherings. Operating in multiple high-volume venues such as GCU Arena and stadium kiosks, the concessions program emphasizes speed, quality, and consistency. From traditional favorites to innovative fan-focused fare, our team delivers an elevated guest experience while ensuring food safety, efficiency, and operational excellence.

What You'll Do

+ be responsible for purchasing, menu compliance, inventory, food cost analysis and food production forecasting

+ ensure Sodexo Culinary standards including recipe compliance and food quality are implemented

+ have the ability and willingness to develop and motivate team members to embrace culinary innovations

+ ensure food safety, sanitation and workplace safety standard compliance

have working knowledge of automated food inventory, ordering, production and management systems

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience

Minimum Management Experience - 2 years

Minimum Functional Experience – 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
