As member of leadership staff and strategic partner, the HR Manager under general supervision manages and organizes Human Resource programs for the business unit, including employee relations, recruitment, wage and salary administration, training, benefits administration, workers compensation and safety & health, government regulations and recordkeeping and EEO. Designs and implements Human Resource programs that support the mission, vision and values of company.
Description:
+ Serve as the key point of contact for company policies and procedures.
+ Resolve employee issues and grievances, providing guidance to supervisors and managers.
+ Ensure compliance with state and federal laws, and industry standards.
+ Maintain organizational compliance with labor laws (DOL, EEOC, NLRB, etc.).
+ Contribute to strategy development and business planning for employee engagement.
+ Collaborate with Operations Leadership to ensure HR presence for all shifts.
+ Manage the recruitment process, including advertising, screening, interviewing, and reference checks.
+ Develop recruitment plans aligned with business objectives and attract diverse candidates.
+ Design and facilitate new employee onboarding training, talent reviews and skills training.
+ Coordinate and manage compensation plans and annual salary reviews.
+ Prepares functional leaders for talent review discussions and facilitates quarterly talent check-in meetings to ensure business follows through on talent commitments and people strategies. Recognizes and understands the strengths, opportunities, talent levels, skill gaps, and development needs.
+ Maintain HRIS, payroll, and time and attendance systems, ensuring data integrity.
+ Oversee benefits plans, including open enrollment and issue resolution.
+ Act as the location Ethics Officer, ensuring compliance with regulatory and corporate policies.
+ Coordinate immigration applications with legal counsel.
+ Maintain regulatory reporting (AAP, EEO-1, VETS-100, OSHA 300, etc.).
+ Communicate HR metrics and their business impact through HR Scorecards.
+ Facilitate talent review discussions and manage succession planning.
+ Coordinate career development plans based on performance reviews and other assessments.
+ Oversee the effectiveness and rollout of the performance management process.
+ Develop engagement metrics and process improvement projects.
+ Liaise with safety on all Workers Compensation claims to ensure alignment with state and federal laws.
+ Analyze and balance HR needs and costs, utilizing lean tools to eliminate waste.
+ Leverage HRIS and other systems for business decision support.
+ Ensure HR transactions are timely, accurate, SOX compliant, and streamline HR processes.
+ Act as liaison with Workers Compensation insurer to manage all workers compensation claims to closure.
Qualifications:
+ B.S. in Human Resources or Business-Related Science.
+ Five Years of Experience in Human Resources Generalist role.
+ Knowledge of state and federal laws.
+ Broad Business Knowledge.
+ Excellent Verbal and Written Communication and Organizational Skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications.
+ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
+ Excellent team player, advocate of the employees, and strong Interpersonal Skills.
Approximately 10% Travel.
