Overview

Stryten Energy operates a growing plastic injection molding facility in West Lampeter Township. We produce plastic components for car batteries and have a stable and growing customer base. As an essential business we continue to thrive during this economic downturn, and we are expanding our teams.

The role will be critical to ensure that the CI goals are being met or exceeded. This includes Data entry and creating charts/graphs, machine monitoring through Mattec, and the Panorama Data base. The role may assist with OJT training of employees in understanding Lean Manufacturing. It will be necessary to work with all departments in the plant to achieve our plant goals.

Responsibilities

+ Data entry into access databases, excel spreadsheets, and JDE scrap, production numbers, 5s scores and other data entry as needed with a high degree of accuracy.

+ Create and/or update charts, graphs and reports daily

+ Create and laminate postings as needed

+ Maintain training records and train employees on 5s and OPM’s

+ Must learn and develop the skillset needed to train and mentor the 5s auditors

+ Create, assign, and distribute Monthly 5s audits to the 5s auditors (you will also be responsible for completing monthly 5s audits)

+ Learn and develop the skillset needed to lead 5s Kaizen events

+ Audit plant floor weekly for cleaning tools/tape guns/lean supplies-

+ Conduct time and motion studies to validate production standards

+ Hands on approach to Operator Preventative Maintenance (OPM)-

+ Organize and clean operator workstations as directed

+ Remove spray cans, rags, gloves and lead from around the plant

+ Clean the IMM’s/Machines as directed by removing oil pads, rags and cleaning up oil and water from the floor

+ Clean other areas of the plant as directed

+ Paint, Stencil, and Label/organize areas of plant as directed

+ Other responsibilities as assigned by the leadership team as necessary to achieve plant goals

Qualifications

+ Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills

+ Handle multiple tasks with limited supervision and create a sense of urgency for completion of tasks

+ Willingness to work off shifts and weekends as needed

+ Excellent attendance and performance records

+ Must be able to communicate effectively (written and verbally) to give guidance and instructions to other employees

Education, Experience, Certifications:

+ Must be able to read, speak and understand English

+ High School diploma or equivalent preferred but not required

+ Previous Data Entry Experience preferred but not required

+ Understanding of Lean Manufacturing Principles preferred but not required

Competencies, Skills, Knowledge:

+ Strong communication and documentation skills

+ Detail-oriented with good organizational skills

+ Computer knowledge-excel, PowerPoint, word, access, and creating charts/graphs

Physical requirements:

+ Sitting, standing, walking, bending, twisting, and reaching

+ Required to lift and handle parts weighing up to 50 lbs.

Travel, other requirements:

+ Travel for training if necessary
