With the creation of our new umbrella organization we now have our own identity with a unique payroll, benefits, performance management system, service recognition programs and other common practices across the system.*__* *_Position Summary:_* The Business Development Manager is a key leader in supporting the strategic planning and alignment efforts for Hartford HealthCare (HHC). In this role, the Business Development Manager will work side-by-side with the Strategy Directors in driving care coordination and access to the system. They will be responsible for establishing and deepening relationships with practices (employed, ICP and non-employed), employers and retail health locations across the entire State by understanding their business objectives, providing exemplary support and working as their gateway contact with the system. The Business Development Manager will be responsible for being a key member of the business development team and responsible for supporting the prioritization of key initiatives in the specific business units. They will be responsible for prioritizing their entire dedicated service area and will make phone calls to and visit medical practices. Their work will be performed both in the office and with requirements to travel to medical practices and related organizations. *_Position Responsibilities:_* *Key areas of responsibility* · Key leader in the business development team responsible for ensuring business unit is prioritizing opportunities and focusing on what matters most · Travel throughout assigned territory to call on practices (employed, ICP and non-employed providers), employers and the key community stakeholders · Onboard new providers within dedicated business units and introduce them to other providers to build connectivity and coordination · Develop and coordinate lunch and learns and talks with provider offices · Perform other related duties as required *_Working Relationship:_* · *This Job Reports To (Job Title):*BHN Director of Business Development · *If applicable, describe nature of supervision of any External vendors, contractors, affiliate organizations, etc. * o They will be responsible for making phone calls to and visit medical practices that are employed, ICP and non-employed *_Requirements and Specifications:_* *Education* · Minimum: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent knowledge and skills obtained through a combination of education, training, and experience with an electronic health record required Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, healthcare administration, business administration or another related field, and experience with an electronic health record *Experience* · Minimum: o 4-7 years sales experience o Demonstrated experience supporting hospital or healthcare growth, business development o Understanding of data, analytics and analysis with an ability to glean key insights that are actionable and meaningful · Preferred: o 5 years of demonstrated experience supporting hospital or healthcare growth, strategic operations, planning and business development while working closely with senior or executive leadership in a matrixed environment. o Currently work in a matrixed organization partnering with senior and executive leadership in finance, planning, marketing/communications, quality & safety, IT, Decision Support and nursing. o Demonstrated experience with enhancing service line offerings and underserved communities through business development and marking assessments with proven results. o Subject matter expert of data, analytics and analysis with an ability to glean key insights that are actionable and meaningful. Ability to demonstrate how to sort through large data sets and appropriately display key findings. *Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements* · Strong communication and organizational skills with ability to influence others and maintain a strong focus on achieving results.
