Partner Product Engineer Responsibilities:
1. Deep expertise of the Android landscape, AR/VR landscape, and general back-end & infrastructure with strong influence over product solutions and product roadmap.
2. Finds large scale problems and architects solutions using their own discretion and expertise.
3. Drive the delivery of new projects and/or systems that increase efficiency and scalability of Meta family of apps & AR/VR apps with minimal oversight.
4. Lead technical strategy and roadmap for long-term strategic partners with high level of autonomy/own and navigate long term technical relationship with partners.
5. Identify risk to Meta and partners, seek to address partner problems independently or in collaboration with internal resources.
6. Strong executive presence and is a sought-after presenter for high profile partner/industry meetings/events.
7. Establish impactful relationships with peers at partner organizations.
8. Architect product solution and scale operational models through tools and process implementation.
9. Assist in onboarding, mentoring, and coaching team members.
10. Requires 20% international and domestic travel.
Minimum Qualifications:

Requires a Bachelor's degree (or foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Analytics, Mathematics, Physics, Applied Sciences, or a related field and 9 years of relevant industry experience - software engineering or partner engineering or a related occupation. Experience must include 9 years of experience in the following:
12. 1. Advanced Coding experience in languages and environments in mobile phones, AR/VR platform, backend, and infrastructure. Such as Java, NDK(C++), and PHP/Go
13. 2. Various Android and Mobile Infrastructure development and usage of various SDKs, Frameworks and Libraries
14. 3. Experience working in AOSP (Android Open Source Platform) or equivalent experience
15. 4. Experience with the Android or AR/VR product development lifecycle
16. 5. Communicating with external parties and being technical advocate
17. 6. Leading team direction on the technical areas
18. 7. Experience on coaching and mentoring junior team members on the team
19. 8. UNIX or Linux operating system fundamentals
20. 9. TCP/IP network fundamentals
21. 10. Performing 'guerilla capacity planning' for internet service architectures
22. 11. Internet service architectures (such as load balancing, LAMP, or CDN’s)
23. 12. Configuring and maintaining applications using at least one of the following: web servers, load balancers, relational databases, storage systems, or messaging systems
24. 13. Relational Databases including MySQL
25. 14. Network protocols including at least one of the following: NFS, DHCP, NTP, SSH, DNS, or SNMP
26. 15. Maintaining web-based applications using at least one of the following: Apache, Memecached, or Squid
27. 16. Storage Systems including NFS
28. 17. Network Management tools like DHCP, NTP, SSH, DNS, or SNMP
29. 18. Diagnosing and troubleshooting issues ranging from low-level hardware issues to large scale failures within datacenter clusters
30. 19. Experience utilizing high performance query engines (Presto or Spark) for big data
Public Compensation:
$271,467/year to $284,900/year + bonus + equity + benefits
