    Summary:

    The Supply Distribution Technician is responsible for the receipt, storage and distribution of all hospital supplies and special-order purchases of internal customer departments.

    Responsibilities:

    + Delivers items and supplies to the receiving department and ancillary areas and gets the required signature and date and places inventory items in the appropriate location in the stockroom or other areas in according to proper procedure, restocking par areas on the floor and exchanges carts in a timely manner

    + Ensures that no stock item is issued without the proper paperwork with the correct stock number and quantity issued. Checks for outdated stock when putting the new stock on the shelf or when pulling for department par requirements. Ensures that items are rotated from the front to back (new stock to back old to front) when putting new stock on shelf and reports stock outs to the Buyer by recording them on the clipboard according to proper procedure

    + Helps cover the other parts that are heavy and works with peers to until all materials are stocked and stored correctly.

    + Receives supplies for all hospital departments and ancillary areas and verifies the accuracy with the packing slip and PO, reporting any errors to the Buyer in a timely manner, unpacks supplies and inspects for damages, reporting any discrepancies to the Buyer in a timely manner

    + High School diploma or equivalent required

    Preferred

    + Prior experience working in a materials management setting
