    Job Summary

    The primary role of the Medical Education Technologist is to maintain and enhance the digital learning environment by developing innovative and collaborative solutions to meet the increasing electronic demands of medical education. Supports the needs of faculty, staff, medical students and residents in academic programs in the Charlotte area. In collaboration with curriculum and student affairs, the role provides training and support for digital solutions to marketing, operations and finance. Creating multi-media resources, managing instructional technology projects and collaborating with supporting institutions are highlights.

    Qualifications

    + Education: High School Diploma or GED, required. Some college education, preferred.

    + Experience: Four years with a combination of experience in electronic platforms such as Epic, Canvas, Sakai; direct experience in teaching/supporting end users; website/social media; videography. Required.

    + Licensure/Certification: Information technology certifications, preferred.

    + Additional Skills Required:

    + Demonstrated ability to observe confidentiality and professional standards (example: FERPA, HIPAA, social media).

    + Ability to provide expertise and end user support for all Microsoft Office products in both PC and Mac environments.

    + Videography knowledge.

    + Website design/management, digital social media knowledge.

    + Must exhibit professional attitude and presentation, and work well as a team player.
