Fairview Range is looking for Security Officer for our security department in Hibbing, MN!

The Security Officer works to assure safety of patients, visitors and staff and property, works proactively to prevent theft and vandalism, responds to needs of hospital staff, offers assistance to those in need, provides excellent customer service, and takes direction from department supervisory/management staff. Work may involve high risk with exposure to potentially dangerous situations which requires range of safety precautions. Works with potentially unpredictable individuals requiring that teamwork and communication with other security officers and staff are critical. Physical interaction with such individuals requires strength, stamina, flexibility and critical thinking.

**Schedule:** This position is Full time, working 72-80 hours per pay period. This will include varying day/evening/night shifts, and weekends as needed.

Security Office Job Qualifications

Required Qualifications

+ One year security experience, two years customer service experience, or Military Service.

+ High School Diploma or higher

+ Pass BCA and FBI background check. Pass Fairview background check. Pass Fairview/Human Services background.

+ Basic computer literacy required

+ Must be able to pass CPR and First Aid testing or First Responder.

+ Must be able to pass baton, handcuffing, and chemical agent training within 60 days of completion of orientation.

+ Must be able to pass Fairview Behavior Control training (BCS)

+ Completion of Incident Command (ICS) 100, 200, 700, & 800 within 1 year of hire

+ Must be able to pass Taser training

+ International Association for Hospital Safety and Security Certification required within 6 months of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

+ Hospital Security or Military Service

+ AA Degree
