    Position Summary:

    COTA's Sr. Cloud Solutions Architect is responsible for designing and developing cloud-based architecture for the organization. This position will collaborate with technical and business teams to understand requirements, analyze current infrastructure and recommend solutions aligning with organizational goals through partnerships with vendors and external partners.

     

    Performs other duties in alignment with the COTA Strategic Plan and in support of the organization's vision to Move Every Life Forward.

    This Position is Responsible For:

    + Establish best practices for implementing and operating cloud-based solutions in public cloud platforms like Azure and AWS

    + Develop cloud migration (https://www.gartner.com/peer-community/tag/migration) strategies and plans; Provide guidance and support to technical teams during implementation of cloud solutions to help troubleshoot issues during operation

    + Provide strategic leadership and oversight of cross-functional cloud architecture team; Manage staff to ensure alignment with enterprise cloud strategy, solution scalability and operational excellence

    + Collaborate with business to ensure cloud-based solutions align with COTA's organizational goals

    + Develop and maintain documentation, including architecture diagrams, policies/procedures and training materials

    + Partner with vendors to identify suitable cloud-based solutions, architecture and designs

    + Collaborate with cybersecurity and infrastructure teams to establish cloud infrastructure and security policies; Identify and address security risk to ensure integrity of COTA's cloud infrastructure

    + Monitor and optimize cloud-based infrastructure performance (https://www.gartner.com/peer-community/tag/performance) and cost

    + At Minimum You'll Need:

    + Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field

    + Seven (7) years of experience in cloud architecture/design with hands-on experience in AWS, Azure, Google Cloud or another applicable platform

    + An equivalent combination of education & comparable relevant experience will be considered

    + Experience in public transit administration preferred

    + AWS Solutions Architect (Associate or Professional), AWS Certified SysOps Administrator (Associate) or Microsoft Certified

    + Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification preferred
