    What You'll Do

     

    We’re looking for a Manager to join our RIS Resource Center team! In this role, you’ll lead a team of 10-15 Business Coordinators who provide technical and operational support across retirement recordkeeping and customer solutions. You’ll be responsible for:

     

    + Overseeing a team of Business Coordinators that support various topics within retirement operations, client service, and administrative teams.

    + Support cross-functional projects, defect remediation efforts, and workflow/process improvements.

    + Help to facilitate partnerships with IT and product areas to refine systems, conduct testing, and implement enhancements that reduce errors and elevate user experience.

    + Coach and develop team members to take ownership, innovate, and make impactful decisions

    + Help your team navigating complex system, participant, and compliance issues ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

    + Set and achieve goals in alignment with business unit priorities, track trends and use data to improve team performance

    Who You Are

    + 6+ years in retirement services or financial operations accounting or finance experience or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, or education.

    + 2+ years leadership experience.

    + Proven ability to lead a team through changing business needs or regulatory updates

    + Solid understanding of retirement plan rules and regulations (e.g., IRS, DOL, ERISA)

    + Manages daily operational execution with accountability for meeting quality, productivity, and compliance targets

    + Leads process improvement efforts and supports business strategy through operational execution

    + Skilled at collaborating cross-functionally to ensure aligned execution

    + Influences and develops team members to deliver results

    Skills That Will Help You Stand Out

    + Industry Expertise: 6-10 years in the retirement or financial services industry with deep knowledge of 401(k), Defined Benefit, Annuities, and banking products.

    + Operational Leadership: Proven experience leading teams that manage system defects, customer support, and business transformation projects.

    + Customer-Centric Mindset: You anticipate service needs, translate feedback into action, and empower individuals with the tools and training they need to exceed expectations.

    + Influence & Communication: Skilled in stakeholder management, cross-functional collaboration, and navigating ambiguity with confidence and clarity.

    + People Development: Experience coaching individuals, managing performance, and cultivating a positive team culture focused on growth and engagement.

     

    Salary Range Information

     

    Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.

     

    Salary Range (Non-Exempt expressed as hourly; Exempt expressed as yearly)

     

    $81900 - $147600 / year

     

    Time Off Program

     

    Flexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and provides the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal or short-term illness. Employees don’t accrue a bank of time off under FTO and there is no set number of days provided.

    Work Environments

     

    This role offers in-office, hybrid (blending at least three office days in a typical workweek), and remote work arrangements (only if residing more than 30 miles from Des Moines, IA, or Charlotte, NC). You’ll work with your leader to figure out which option may align best based on several factors.
