As a member of the senior operations leadership team, this position provides strategic direction and oversees the management of Reliability Excellence (facilities and equipment) and Tooling Operations, consistently supporting corporate and group goals and initiatives documented in the operating plan. Manage all Manufacturing Support functions to provide superior service and assistance to our customers and other functional areas. Consistently review performance and progress against established goals and objectives, removing roadblocks and reporting and escalating as appropriate. Champion, participate in and drive various improvements to the management and operations of Swagelok’s tooling, gauging and Rx programs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
+ **Develop specificc department strategies and objectives to support the company's mission, vision and values.**
+ **Monitor the implementation of action plans to achieve business objectives, providing periodic reports on the progress of action plans.**
+ **Define performance expectations and provide feedback on performance to direct reports.**
+ **Recruit, motivate and develop a professional management staff.**
+ **Ensure development of managers through counseling, mentoring, and training.**
+ **Approve the salary plan, to ensure fair and equitable pay utilizing established corporate guidelines.**
+ **Maintain appropriate knowledge/expertise regarding leading edge techniques, strategies, and industry trends** **Review and approve departmental policies and procedures.**
+ **Establish and maintain interdepartmental relationships.**
+ **Provide governance for tooling, gauging, maintenance and facility management for all sites (domestic and international), ensuring that corporate policies and standards are met.**
+ **Monitor departmental budget to ensure compliance with plans within the operating guidelines.**
+ **Recommend and execute capital projects (improvement, construction and acquisition) that improve equipment and facility infrastructure and performance**
+ **Establish programs/action plans to achieve objectives in critical areas such as:**
+ **Increasing planned work and reducing unplanned downtime**
+ **Cost reduction/savings activityDART rates, recordable and near miss reporti**
+ **Reliability of Equipment and Facilities**
+ **Developing comprehensive plan for critical assets**
+ **Tooling, gauge and MRO availability**
+ **Develop comprehensive risk management plan for all areas of responsibility**
+ **Work with outside vendors, ensuring services are timely, professional and meet documented standards.**
+ **As a leader, you are expected to know, enforce, and appropriately escalate all Swagelok associate policies.**

Education and Work Experience Requirements:
Required:
• Bachelor's degree in business related field (engineering, accounting, finance, supply chain, etc.)
• 10+ years of experience in manufacturing (operations, materials management, purchasing, etc.).
• 3+ years of management experience.
• A thorough understanding of manufacturing systems.
• Excellent communication, leadership and negotiation skills.
• Broad business knowledge
Preferred:
+ Advanced degree in business related fields (MBA, engineering, accounting, etc.)
+ 5+ years of management experience.
Working conditions and/or Physical Requirements:
+ Working conditions associated with normal office environment.
+ Ability to operate standard office equipment (e.g., computer, telephone, copier, printer, etc.).
+ Ability to effectively communicate in both small and large groups and settings.
+ Ability to traverse between multiple locations in Ohio and Pennsylvania as needed.
+ Domestic and/or international travel is required (10%)
+ Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and quantitative productivity standards.
+ Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards.
