    Hours:

    3:30pm-11:30pm

    Summary:

    Performs routine maintenance duties (i.e. repairs, painting, etc.) on equipment and facilities within the hospital to assist in the achievement of the hospital mission.

    Responsibilities:

    EDUCATION

    + High school diploma or equivalent education required

    EXPERIENCE

    + 4 years building, maintenance field experience in a hospital setting strongly preferred

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITY

    + Able to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, schedule form or blueprints

    + Computer literacy is desirable

    + Communication skills and ability to relate well with other employees and other people of diverse backgrounds

    + NYS Driver License

    WORKING CONDITIONS:

    ENVIRONMENT

    + Frequent exposure to many disagreeable physical conditions

    + Occasionally works in outside weather conditions

    + Normal hazards and physical demands of trade

    + At times may be working near moving mechanical parts

    + Climbs ladders, use hand and power tools/equipment

    + May travel to off site locations

    + Be able to perform moderate lifting, bending, stooping, sit and crawl
