    Salary Range: Starting at $5,081 per month, with excellent benefits (see below),

     

    Agency Sponsored: Medical/Dental 100% paid for employee and 90-98% for dependents, generous paid-time off, Public Employee Retirement (PERS), Employee Assistance Plan, Long Term Disability.

     

    Employee paid: Deferred Compensation, Life Insurance, Short Term Disability, Colonial Life Supplemental Plans.

     

    Other: Employment qualifies for Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program (PSLF).

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    + Lead the full-cycle recruitment process including requisition approval, job advertising, candidate sourcing, application review, candidate screening, interview strategy, and offer process.

    + Create, edit, and post job advertisements on job boards, websites, and community locations.

    + Advise hiring managers on interviewing qualified candidates following HR guidelines.

    + Assist with pre-screening and conducting phone, video, or in-person interviews.

    + Participate in job fairs, career events, and outreach efforts to promote NWSDS as an employer of choice

    + Facilitate pre-employment screenings such as background checks, driving records, and language tests.

    + Collect, review, and file recruitment documentation including applications, interview notes, scoring sheets, and testing documents.

    + Track recruitment metrics to evaluate effectiveness and report outcomes to management.

    + Conduct new employee onboarding, including I-9 verification and W-4 processing.

    + Provide backup support in Benefits, HR Processing, Classification and Compensation, Employee Relations, and other HR areas.

    + Compose correspondence and write procedures clearly.

    + Perform research, analyze data, and reach logical conclusions.

    + Travel to agency offices as needed to assist with HR processes.

    + Communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing.

    + Ability to maintain accurate records through process design, workflows, and routine audits.

    + Work is performed within tight time constraints and may occasionally require unusual hours.

    Required Experience:

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    A qualified applicant will have a minimum of four (4) years of equivalent combination of education and/or experience which demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities required. The following qualifications will be considered as meeting the minimum requirements:

    + Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field of study.

    + At least two (2) years of experience in an HR role.

    SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

    + Candidate must pass a comprehensive background screening prior to employment.

    + Ability to secure and maintain a valid driver’s license in the state of Oregon, or an acceptable alternative means of transportation.
