• Backend Software Engineer (Node/Kafka/Data)

    Job Description

    Insight Global is currently hiring for a Backend Software Engineer for our top financial companies in the Des Moines area. This Engineer will be on a critical team that support enterprise data platforms. They will develop, enhance and maintain microservices, APIs and other supporting data tools. They will need be comfortable collaborating with business leaders as well as architects, DevOps, security and Infrastructure teams. The annual salary for this role is between $80,000-$130,000/yr.

    Skills and Requirements

     

    Bachelors Degree in Engineer, IS or related field

     

    3+ years of Software development experience using Node

     

    Experience with Kafka or other event-streaming platform

     

    MongoDB & SQL server database experience

     

    Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes). Experience building or contributing to internal developer platforms or self-service tools.

     

    Familiarity with additional data technologies (e.g., Snowflake) and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform). null
