    Our client is a prestigious, luxury hotel brand renowned in the world for excellence in customer experience. Today they are seeking a professional Financial Controller for their **Seattle Washington** location due to a promotion. This is a great place to work for a finance and accounting professional as the environment is active. This is an on-site roll 5 days per week.

     

    Position: Hotel Financial Controller Seattle

     

    Salary Range depending on experience: $125,000 - $135,000

    **Work Schedule** : On-Site

    **Reports to:** Hotel General Manager and a laterally to Regional Financial Controller

    **Direct Reports** : Oversee 3-4 Accountants

    PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

    The work environment is fast-paced, and action-oriented culture, servicing their clients to above average and quality expectations therefore this needs to be a good fit for your working and leadership style.

     

    **Hotel experience is strongly preferred (ideally 4-star or higher); high-end restaurant industry experience is also a welcomed qualification** .

    ACCOUNTING EXPERTISE

    A strong understanding of the balance sheet is essential —Variance analysis is this area is critical to the role.

     

    Profit & Loss with variance analysis experience is also required.

     

    Cash flow Modeling and Cash flow forecasting

     

    Month end close and general ledger adjusting entries oversight and financial reporting.

     

    Corporate compliance and policy and procedures audits

     

    Budgeting, forecasting, performance analysis

     

    Annual audit support and responsibilities

     

    Strategic Planning

     

    System process improvements

     

    Strong Excel skills

    EDUCATION

    Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field;

     

    CPA or CMA certification preferred.

    EXPERIENCE

    Minimum of 7 years of progressive financial management experience.

     

    Some experience in a full-service hospitality environment.

     

    Hotel experience is strongly preferred (ideally 4-star or higher); high-end restaurant industry experience is also a welcomed qualification

     

    Proven experience in preparing monthly financial statements, executing balance sheet reconciliations, and conducting detailed budgeting and forecasting activities.

     

    Strong background in managing corporate accounting functions and ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.

     

    Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.

     

    Proficient in accounting software and MS Office applications; experience with hospitality-specific financial systems is an asset.

     

    Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple departments.
