Our client, a leading technology firm, is seeking a Hadoop & ETL Developer to join their team. As a Hadoop & ETL Developer, you will be part of the Data Engineering department supporting various teams. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a collaborative mindset which will align successfully in the organization.

**Job Title:** Hadoop & ETL Developer

**Location:** Plano, Texas

**Position type:** 12+ months with high possibility of extension/Conversion

W2 only (No third-party candidates will be considered for this role).

What's the Job?

+ Understand design and propose high-level and detailed design solutions to resolve business and technical problems.

+ Engage in discussions with the information architecture team to propose new technology adoption ideas.

+ Perform BAU support activities including analysis, coding, and driving development activities at offshore.

+ Collaborate with Business Analysts to understand requirements and design solutions for real-time issues in production.

+ Identify gaps in technology and propose viable solutions to enhance application performance.

What's Needed?

+ Strong working knowledge of ETL, database technologies, big data, and data processing skills.

+ 3+ years of experience developing ETL solutions using tools like Informatica or SSIS.

+ 3+ years of experience with Hadoop, Spark, Impala, Hive, and Python.

+ Proficient scripting skills in Unix shell and Perl scripting.

+ Experience troubleshooting data-related issues and processing large amounts of structured and unstructured data.
