    Position Summary

    Ready to lead a high-impact team at the heart of U.S. Southern Command's (SOUTHCOM) financial operations? Teksouth is seeking a Lead Financial Analyst to lead and supervise a diverse 6-member team supporting the SOUTHCOM/J8 directorate. In this role, you will be the central point of leadership for all on-site financial analysis, budget execution, and data analytics support. This is a leadership position for someone who excels at managing people, processes, and high-stakes government client relationships.

    What You'll Do

    + **Lead & Mentor:** Guide, develop, and manage a 6-member team, assigning responsibilities and overseeing workload to ensure successful execution of all contract objectives.

    + **Client & Stakeholder Management:** Serve as the primary liaison between your team and SOUTHCOM/J8 leadership, masterfully managing the client relationship and ensuring clear, consistent communication.

    + **Oversee Financial Operations:** Direct your team's support for all facets of the Planning, Programming, Budget, and Execution (PPBE) process, ensuring compliance with DoD/Army standards and audit readiness.

    + **Drive Project Performance:** Develop and maintain a detailed project plan to monitor contract execution, track progress against key milestones, and create comprehensive documentation.

    + **Provide Expert Guidance:** Act as the subject matter expert on DoD financial processes, providing advice, training, and interpretation of complex financial data and regulations to both your team and the client.

    + **Champion Process Improvement:** Identify trends, resolve complex issues, and make strategic recommendations to enhance operational efficiency and financial systems performance.

    What You'll Bring

    + **Proven Government Project Leadership:** 5+ years of experience managing government projects, including direct experience working with Contracting Officer's Representatives (CORs) and other government contract personnel.

    + **Expertise in DoD Financial Systems:** 5+ years of experience in SAP/Oracle ERP environments, including at least 3 years of hands-on experience with GFEBS and/or DAI.

    + **Deep Financial Management Knowledge:** Extensive knowledge of DoD/Army Financial Management processes (PPBE), regulations (DoD FMR), and accounting information systems.

    + **Exceptional Leadership & Communication Skills:** Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team, with outstanding skills in client relations, performance management, and both written and verbal communication.

    + **Strong Organizational Acumen:** Excellent organizational, multi-tasking, and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.

    Nice-to-Haves

    + Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Defense Financial Manager (CDFM) certification.

    + Prior experience supporting a COCOM-level organization.

    + A technical background with an understanding of software development or data analytics.
