    KDG Construction Consulting (KDG)  is one of a family of firms which seeks an experienced Controller to lead and oversee all aspects of the financial operations across four operating companies while shaping the platform’s overall financial strategy and planning. Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, with interface with the Chief Executive Officer, this key leadership role will serve as a strategic thought partner, driving the organization’s growth and financial stability.

     

    The Controller will be a hands-on leader responsible for evaluating financial performance, managing risks, and identifying strategic investment opportunities. This role requires deep expertise in accounting, financial management, and business operations.

     

    The ideal candidate will guide a high-performing team and apply strategic thinking to drive informed decisions that enhance profitability and support the long-term goals of the entities.

    Responsibilities and Duties:

    + Oversee all treasury functions, ensuring optimal cash management and financial stability

    + Monitor and manage cash flow to maintain the financial strength and meet operational needs

    + Build and maintain strong relationships with financial institutions to manage lines of credit and banking needs effectively

    + Provide leadership and direction to the finance team across multiple platforms, ensuring alignment with platform objectives

    + Consolidate backlog and awarded-but-not-signed work, integrating data from Salesforce and Foundation for accurate financial forecasts

    + Develop and implement tax strategies to optimize the consolidated financial position and ensure compliance

    + Analyze gross margins and lead the budgeting process to meet financial targets

    + Evaluate financial systems, implement new systems as needed, and undertake overall process improvements as businesses scale

    + Participate in contract negotiations focusing on rates and cost structures to ensure profitable agreements

    + Create and implement plans to increase return on investment and profitability

    + Develop strategies to recruit and retain top financial talent, and promote a positive workplace culture

    + Prepare and present financial reports to executive team

    + Perform other duties as directed

    Required Qualifications:

    + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

    + Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is preferred

    + A minimum of ten (10) years of experience in banking, investing, or accounting is required

    + Implementation with ERP Systems

    + Communicates effectively and has exceptional written and verbal communication skills

    + Possesses the ability to develop strong working relationships with colleagues across multiple businesses

    + Excels at multi-tasking, organization, and time management

    + Has the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment

    + Has developed excellent active listening, negotiation, and presentation skills

     

    Anticipated Salary Range:  $160,000 - $185,000

     

    The offered salary will be based on the applicant's qualifications, education, experience, and work location.
