    Overview

     

    We are seeking aLicensed Practical Nurse (LPN), internally referred to as LPN or LVN, in our Medical Surgical Unit. As an LPN/LVN in our Med Surg Unit, you will provide basic nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or physician, focusing on tasks like monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and assisting with patient care.

     

    Shift’s Available: Nights

     

    Employment Type: Per diem/PRN

     

    Hours: 12 hour shifts: 7p - 7a

    Responsibilities

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):

    + Provide direct and indirect patient care services which requires technical and manual skills, within the scope of practice, that meet the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care

    + Meets the communication needs of the patient and family

    + Performs under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse

    + Nurses provide CPR, Patient Care, Update Documentation, Specimens, Wound Care and Vital Signs

    Qualifications

    Education and Work Experience

     

    Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers. You must have:

     

    + Current and valid Alabama state license as a Licensed Practical Nurse

    + Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current

    + IV certification within 30 days and maintain current

    Additional Qualifications That Are a Plus:

    + one year experience in an applicable setting
