Description

We are looking for an experienced Sr. Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Southlake, Texas. In this role, you will oversee critical accounting functions, including accounts receivable, general ledger activities, and reconciliation processes. This position is ideal for someone with strong expertise in financial operations and a detail-oriented approach to problem-solving. This is a 3-month contract position. 100% ONSITE in Southlake, TX.

Interim Senior Accountant (contract position):

Responsibilities:

• Manage accounts receivable processes, including invoicing, billing, and subledger activities.

• Perform general ledger reviews and ensure accurate journal entries.

• Conduct month-end close procedures, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.

• Reconcile bank accounts and other financial statements to identify and resolve discrepancies.

• Oversee general ledger reconciliations and verify accounting accuracy.

• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.

• Review and analyze financial data to support decision-making.

• Assist in preparing financial reports and documentation as needed.

• Maintain organized records of all accounting transactions and audits.

Great Plains experience is a plus

Requirements

• Proven experience in accounting, with a focus on accounts receivable and general ledger management.

• Strong knowledge of month-end close processes and journal entry preparation.

• Proficiency in performing account and bank reconciliations.

• Familiarity with financial regulations and best practices in accounting.

• Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.

• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
