    Description

    We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Waipahu, Hawaii. In this role, you will play a critical part in managing financial transactions and ensuring accurate processing of invoices and payments.     Responsibilities:

    • Process and review accounts payable invoices with precision and efficiency.

    • Verify inventory records and merchandise orders to ensure accuracy.

    • Match invoices to purchase orders and reconcile any discrepancies.

    • Validate charges and ensure compliance with organizational billing standards.

    • Generate and manage contract billing documentation.

    • Perform account reconciliations to maintain financial accuracy.

    • Facilitate vendor payments and prepare checks for timely distribution.

    • Handle electronic 1099 forms and ensure compliance with reporting requirements.

    • Collaborate with the Controller and Senior Accountant on additional tasks as needed.

    Requirements

    • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in accounts payable.

    • At least one year of hands-on experience with enterprise accounting software.

    • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data management and analysis.

    • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial transactions.

    • Prior experience with Sage 100 software is highly desirable.

    • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask effectively.

    • Solid understanding of account reconciliation processes.

    • Familiarity with vendor payment procedures and purchase order systems.
