Description We are looking for an experienced Property Accountant to join our team on a contract to permanent basis. This role is based in Atlanta, Georgia, and offers an opportunity to manage financial operations for a diverse portfolio of properties. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in property accounting and a strong understanding of industry-standard software and financial processes. Responsibilities: • Oversee the full-cycle accounting process for assigned properties, including preparing accurate financial statements. • Perform month-end close activities, ensuring all entries are completed and reconciled in a timely manner. • Utilize Yardi software to manage accounting tasks and maintain accurate financial records. • Reconcile general ledger accounts, bank accounts, and balance sheets to ensure accuracy and compliance. • Analyze profit and loss statements and provide detailed financial reporting to stakeholders. • Prepare and review income statements, ensuring all entries align with accrual accounting principles. • Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial data, maintaining accuracy and completeness. • Collaborate with property management teams to support budgeting and forecasting efforts. • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal policies in all financial operations. Requirements • Proven experience in property accounting, with a strong understanding of industry practices.

• Proficiency in using Yardi software for accounting and financial management.

• Demonstrated expertise in month-end close processes and accrual-based accounting.

• Strong skills in reconciling general ledger accounts, bank accounts, and balance sheets.

• Ability to analyze financial data, including profit and loss statements and income statements.

• Familiarity with preparing accurate and comprehensive financial reports.

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills to address financial discrepancies.

• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
