Description

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team in Roslyn, New York. This position offers an excellent opportunity to apply your expertise in accounting, tax, and auditing. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical foundation, familiarity with industry regulations, and a commitment to fostering strong relationships.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and mentor staff accountants, ensuring adherence to firm policies and procedures.

• Build strong client relationships by delivering high-quality accounting services and fostering trust.

• Conduct detailed tax, accounting, and auditing research using firm-provided resources.

• Oversee tax return preparation engagements, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.

• Plan, coordinate, and manage all phases of audit engagements.

• Evaluate and provide constructive feedback on the performance of less experienced staff members.

• Utilize firm-specific technology for engagement management, tax preparation, and time tracking.

• Perform month-end close processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations.

• Reconcile bank accounts and maintain accurate general ledger records.

• Ensure compliance with applicable sections of industry regulations and standards.

Requirements

• Proven experience in month-end close processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations.

• Strong understanding of general ledger maintenance and bank reconciliation procedures.

• Proficiency in accounting and tax preparation software, as well as engagement management tools.

• Familiarity with applicable industry regulations and standards.

• Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects effectively.

• Strong analytical and research skills to address complex tax and accounting issues.

• Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with clients and team members.
