Description Katie Weigel with Robert Half Finance and Accounting is recruiting to fill an Accountant role with a corporate accounting group here in Reno. The position is 50% GL Accounting, Balance Sheet Reconciliations, etc. and up to 50% complex Accounts Receivable. Specific responsibilities include:

Accurately and timely recording transactions such as expense and revenue

Sending invoices to customers for services provided, and reconciling receivables

Reconciling balance sheet accounts and performing detailed account analysis on balance sheet and income statement accounts

Prepare journal entries as necessary to book accruals and other non-cash transactions

Process and record incoming payments and deposits in bank via in-office scanning devices

Ensure backup and related support files for all transactions are kept and maintained for easy reference

Maintain confidentiality on all transactions

Support in implementing and maintaining third party systems.

Review AR and AP Aging reports and ensure that client payments are made timely.

Processing payments to utilities and vendors to pay for vendor services and supplies – backup support.

This position requires a BS Degree in Accounting and at least 2 years of accounting experience. GAAP knowledge is a requirement, and is strong attention to detail. Good Excel and accounting system experience is required.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required.

• Minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience, with exposure to both general ledger and accounts receivable.

• Proficiency in accounting systems and strong Excel skills.

• Familiarity with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and balance sheet reconciliations.

• Experience with bank reconciliations and journal entry preparation.

• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality in handling financial transactions.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
