Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our team in Phoenix, Arizona. This role involves supporting attorneys and legal staff by managing documents, deadlines, and client communications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in litigation and possess excellent organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities:

• Draft, edit, and proofread legal documents, forms, and correspondence with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

• Maintain and manage electronic and physical files, ensuring compliance with firm policies and utilizing tools such as NetDocs, iManage, and Excel.

• Organize, file, and retrieve documents systematically to maintain a well-structured legal filing system.

• Monitor and follow up on critical deadlines, coordinating with the docketing department as necessary.

• Perform e-filing for State and Federal Courts, ensuring compliance with court rules and procedures.

• Prepare and oversee the creation of document binders, supervising project clerks when required.

• Utilize contract redlining tools to compare and edit agreements effectively.

• Schedule and coordinate meetings and events, collaborating with internal teams and ensuring all details are managed accurately.

• Communicate with clients regarding service of process, deadlines, and required documentation, while keeping the litigation team informed.

• Track case progress, provide updates to clients, and proactively manage next steps throughout the lifecycle of a matter. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in litigation, with a solid understanding of commercial law practices.

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent relevant experience will be considered.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and intermediate expertise in Microsoft Excel for project tracking and deadline management.

• Familiarity with document management systems such as NetDocs or iManage.

• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines effectively.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a detail-oriented approach and ability to interact with diverse audiences.

• Proven ability to produce accurate work while managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

• Demonstrated judgment in resolving issues independently and escalating when necessary.
