    Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Receptionist to join our team in Herndon, Virginia. This is a Contract position where you will play a vital role in ensuring smooth front desk operations and assisting with facilities management tasks. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and a proactive attitude, making them an excellent representative of our company.

    Responsibilities:

    • Greet and announce visitors, maintain visitor logs, and issue badges while ensuring proper sign-in and sign-out procedures.

    • Manage incoming and outgoing mail, including sorting, delivery coordination, and package scanning.

    • Create FedEx shipping labels, schedule pickups, and occasionally deliver packages to FedEx.

    • Restock office, kitchen, and beverage supplies and assist with facilities purchases to ensure inventory is maintained.

    • Coordinate desk assignments, badges, and key management for new and departing employees alongside facilities staff.

    • Monitor and resolve maintenance requests using internal and external ticketing systems, collaborating with facilities personnel.

    • Maintain organization of reception closet and serve as back-up for copy room and kitchen supply management.

    • Assist with resolving conference room scheduling conflicts and provide administrative support to departments as needed.

    • Update desk procedure manuals and serve as a Fire Warden to handle emergency situations.

    • Support special projects and perform other duties as assigned. Requirements • At least 1 year of experience in receptionist or administrative roles.

    • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with visitors and staff.

    • Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

    • Courteous, proactive, and positive attitude with a focus on being detail-oriented.

    • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

    • Proficiency in handling phone calls, email correspondence, and mail distribution.

    • Familiarity with ordering office supplies and scheduling conference rooms.
