Description We are looking for an experienced Interim Finance Director to join our team on a contract basis. Based in Chesterfield, Missouri, this role will provide critical leadership in overseeing financial operations for a multi-state non-profit organization. The position requires a hands-on approach and the ability to work onsite five days a week.

Responsibilities:

• Direct and manage complex financial operations across multiple states and campus-based properties.

• Oversee the development and execution of annual budgets, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

• Lead month-end close processes to maintain accurate financial records and reporting.

• Prepare and analyze financial reports to support decision-making and organizational strategy.

• Monitor cash flow forecasts to ensure financial stability and address potential challenges.

• Ensure compliance with tax regulations, including multi-state considerations and property-related requirements.

• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to foster strong relationships and drive financial initiatives.

• Provide guidance on budget processes and financial planning within a non-profit framework.

• Address challenges related to managing multi-state property portfolios and operations.

• Maintain a personable and collaborative approach to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels. Requirements • Proven experience in financial leadership roles, ideally within non-profit or property-heavy environments.

• Strong expertise in annual budgeting, month-end close, and financial reporting processes.

• Knowledge of tax compliance and multi-state financial regulations.

• Ability to manage cash flow forecasts and address operational financial challenges.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.

• Hands-on approach to financial management with attention to detail.

• Familiarity with complex financial operations in multi-state organizations.

• Availability to work onsite five days a week in Chesterfield, Missouri.
