Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join our team in Muncie, Indiana. In this role, you will play a key part in managing accounting activities, analyzing financial data, and ensuring compliance with established policies and standards. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to strategic financial decision-making and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
• Manage general accounting tasks, including the preparation, maintenance, and reconciliation of ledger accounts and financial statements such as balance sheets and profit-and-loss statements.
• Prepare, record, and analyze accounting transactions to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records in line with accepted principles and standards.
• Handle Sales and Use tax returns and assist in audits related to these filings.
• Support the budgeting and forecasting process by providing detailed financial analyses and insights.
• Collaborate with internal and external auditors to ensure compliance and accuracy in financial reporting.
• Evaluate routine and ad-hoc financial reports to uncover trends and patterns that impact key performance indicators.
• Interpret financial data and provide insights to management regarding emerging business challenges and opportunities.
• Ensure the reconciliation of fixed assets and general ledger accounts to maintain reliability in financial reporting.
• Develop and maintain reports for balance sheet reconciliation and other financial analyses. Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, along with 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced expertise in Excel.
• Experience with fixed assets, general ledger, and balance sheet reconciliation.
• Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills to address complex financial issues.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational capabilities.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills for presenting financial insights.
• Prior knowledge of and experience with relevant tools or systems is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
