Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in La Mesa, California. In this role, you will play a vital part in managing financial processes, ensuring accurate reporting, and supporting property management operations. This position is ideal for someone with a strong background in accounting and familiarity with real estate property management systems.

Responsibilities:

• Record and maintain accurate financial transactions across all accounts.

• Oversee and manage accounts payable and receivable processes.

• Reconcile accounts and ensure discrepancies are promptly resolved.

• Prepare comprehensive financial reports and statements.

• Monitor budgets and ensure adherence to financial guidelines.

• Utilize accounting software to streamline processes and maintain data integrity.

• Assist managers in budget preparation under the guidance of the Accounting Supervisor.

• Process monthly reserve transfers, journal entries, and corrections.

• Manage vendor records, including address and tax ID updates.

• Perform daily bank reconciliations and ensure timely bank statement processing. Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in real estate or property management.

• Strong knowledge of general ledger and monthly financial statement preparation.

• Familiarity with HOA accounting practices and AppFolio property management software.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and meet deadlines.

• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.

• Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members and property owners.
