Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Santa Barbara, California. In this long-term contract position, you will play a crucial role in managing and streamlining the accounts payable process to support our organization's financial operations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in AP and a keen eye for detail.

Responsibilities:

• Process and verify invoices with accurate coding to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

• Manage and execute payments through various methods, including Automated Clearing House (ACH) and check runs.

• Reconcile discrepancies in accounts payable records and resolve issues with vendors in a timely manner.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all accounts payable transactions.

• Assist in month-end closing activities by preparing reports and ensuring all AP tasks are completed.

• Collaborate with other departments to ensure proper documentation and approval of invoices.

• Review and validate account coding to facilitate accurate financial reporting.

• Support the implementation and optimization of any AP-related processes or tools. Requirements • Proven experience in accounts payable or a related financial role.

• Strong understanding of invoice coding and account reconciliation processes.

• Proficiency in handling payment systems, including ACH and check runs.

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with team members.

• Familiarity with accounting software and tools.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve discrepancies efficiently.
