Description
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to lead a transition to QuickBooks Online and support ongoing financial operations. This role is integral to modernizing our accounting systems and ensuring seamless integration with our upcoming inventory management software. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical knowledge with hands-on bookkeeping expertise. We are considering part time and full-time candidates.
Key Responsibilities
• QuickBooks Implementation
+ Lead the migration from legacy accounting software to QuickBooks Online
+ Set up company financial structure including chart of accounts, bank connections, and integrations
+ Collaborate with inventory software vendors to ensure proper accounting for product lifecycle, including sales, returns, and COGS
• Day-to-Day Bookkeeping
+ Record and reconcile ecommerce and marketplace transactions: revenue, fees, shipping, sales tax
+ Supervise bookkeeping assistant handling AP, AR, and reconciliations
+ Manage monthly and annual financial close processes
+ Prepare and maintain key financial reports including P& L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements
+ Support inventory tracking, purchasing, and related reporting
+ Provide budget planning, forecasting, variance analysis, and custom financial reports
+ Process payroll via ADP and assist with payroll compliance
+ Oversee preparation and filing of tax documents, and support annual tax filings
+ Maintain and enforce company financial policies and secure data practices
Requirements
Qualifications
• Education & Experience
+ Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
+ Minimum of 3 years of professional bookkeeping or accounting experience
• Technical Skills & Software
+ Proficient in QuickBooks Online with hands-on experience migrating from other systems
+ Familiarity with ecommerce accounting tools (e.g., A2X) and inventory platforms like Cin7
+ ADP payroll system experience preferred
+ Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
• Core Competencies
+ Deep understanding of GAAP and basic tax principles
+ Exceptional attention to detail and analytical thinking
+ Strong communication and collaboration abilities
+ High level of discretion in handling confidential financial data
+ Excellent organizational skills and time management
