Description
We are looking for a skilled HR Consultant to join our team in Newport, Oregon. This is a long-term contract position offering an excellent opportunity to contribute to various human resources functions, including policy development, FLSA Classification and Job Description Review, and designing a structured employee evaluation system. The ideal candidate will play a key role in revising and implementing the employee handbook, including writing and developing policies, update procedures for performance management and talent development, and establishing an internal HR tracking system.
Responsibilities:
• Manage day-to-day HR operations, including maintaining employee records and ensuring compliance with company policies.
• Oversee employee relations by addressing concerns, resolving conflicts, and promoting a collaborative work environment.
• Administer benefits programs, including enrollment, updates, and responding to employee inquiries.
• Develop and update HR policies, ensuring alignment with legal and organizational standards.
• Facilitate onboarding processes to provide a seamless introduction for new hires.
• Monitor and report on HR metrics to support data-driven decision-making.
• Provide guidance on performance management processes, including evaluations and improvement plans.
• Ensure compliance with FMLA regulations and other applicable labor laws.
• Maintain and optimize HRIS systems to streamline HR processes and improve data accuracy.
Requirements • Proven experience in human resources administration, including employee relations and benefits management.
• Familiarity with HRIS systems and the ability to maintain accurate employee data.
• Strong knowledge of employment laws, including FMLA and other regulatory requirements.
• Experience in developing and implementing HR policies and employee handbooks.
• Ability to analyze and report on HR metrics to inform strategic decisions.
• Proficiency in performance management processes, including coaching and evaluations.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for fostering positive workplace relationships. TalentMatch®
