Description

We are seeking an experienced Home Infusion Medical Biller Collector to join our team! If you have a strong background in medical billing and collections specific to home infusion services, we encourage you to apply. This role requires proficiency in navigating complex billing systems, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to ensure timely and accurate reimbursement for home infusion services.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Medical Billing: Review, prepare, and submit insurance claims for Home Infusion therapy services while ensuring compliance with payer guidelines and industry standards

+ Collections: Investigate unpaid claims, identify reasons for nonpayment or denials, and follow up with insurance companies and patients to resolve payment discrepancies

+ Documentation: Maintain complete and accurate patient billing records within electronic medical record systems such as Epic and Cerner.

+ Compliance: Stay updated on insurance payer policies for home infusion services and ensure all billing practices adhere to state, federal, and payer-specific regulations .

+ Communication: Collaborate effectively with insurance providers, patients, and healthcare team members to resolve billing inquiries and improve payment turnaround times.

Requirements

+ Experience: Minimum of 2 years of medical billing and collections experience with a focus on Home Infusion services.

+ Technical Skills: Proficiency in industry-standard billing software and familiarity with electronic medical record systems like Epic or Cerner is a plus

+ Knowledge Base: Thorough understanding of insurance guidelines for home infusion therapies, including specialty infusion medications, nursing, and pharmacy services.

+ Soft Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills to investigate claim denials, follow up on accounts receivable, and troubleshoot complex billing issues.
