Description

Join the NASC SPEeD team (Sortation Products Engineering and Data) in Amazon Transportation Services' Sort Centers - a critical Middle-Mile operation linking Fulfillment Centers to Last Mile delivery. We're seeking engineers to build scalable solutions for complex operational processes, develop science-based planning tools, work with big data, machine learning, and optimization technologies, and create high-volume, low-latency services.

This new initiative offers opportunities to shape new services and technologies, collaborate across Amazon teams, receive mentorship from principal product managers and senior engineers, and work in an innovative, customer-focused environment.

Key job responsibilities

- Design and implement robust data pipelines and warehousing solutions that support complex logistics operations

- Develop scalable data models and ETL processes to transform raw operational data into actionable insights

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve data integration challenges

- Create and maintain high-performance, low-latency data services using modern cloud technologies

- Continuously improve data infrastructure reliability, performance, and scalability

Basic Qualifications

- 3+ years of data engineering experience

- Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines

Preferred Qualifications

- Advanced experience with cloud data technologies, particularly AWS ecosystem

- Proficiency in non-relational database systems

- Experience with machine learning data infrastructure

- Background in transportation, logistics, or supply chain data engineering

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $118,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $205,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
