    Summary: : The Jr. Community Development Analyst will collect, analyze, and report on data related to the Bank’s Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) performance and community engagement activities. Will support the SVP, Community Development and CRA Officer monitor regulatory expectations, support CRA Program operations, and builds relationships with community partners. Maintains the Bank’s CRA software for tracking and evaluating all HMDA lending, small business lending and community development activities. Conducts analysis reports and assists with reporting of required data to the federal government and examiners. Coordinates volunteer events for “Team Columbia.”

    Job Responsibilities:

    CRA Compliance and Reporting

     

    + Responsible for maintaining and maximizing the use of the Bank’s CRA software to track and evaluate all HMDA lending, small business lending and community development activity in addition to using other Bank databases.

    + Conducts analysis of the Bank’s CRA performance evaluations, internal reporting, and regulatory submissions.

    + Conducts internal data integrity reviews to ensure the accuracy of the information provided to the federal government.

    + Assists with preparation for CRA exams, including document gathering and file maintenance.

    + Maintains accurate records and databases of community development activities.

    + Prepares internal reports and presentations for senior leadership and the Board of Directors.

    + Researches current market conditions and trends to develop the CRA performance context.

    + Produces reports for and keeps the CRA Public File up to date.

    + Records minutes at committee meetings related to CRA and follows up with stakeholders for action items.

    + Collaborates with internal departments to support CRA-related initiatives.

    + Researches and performs peer analyses to identify and recommends CRA products and services for the Bank.

     

    Team Columbia

     

    + Point of contact for the Bank’s volunteer events with community organizations, including the Bank's Week of Giving.

    + Leads volunteer event days including coordinating with volunteers and community organization, providing refreshments and supplies as needed, and volunteer photos.

    + Resolves conflicts and logistical issues at volunteer events to ensure a positive outcome at the volunteer event.

    + Manages and reports the participation of employees volunteering through the Bank’s “Team Columbia” program.

    + Administrator of the Bank’s volunteer portal, Your Cause, and ensures that volunteer events are placed on the portal.

    + Promotes and recruits’ volunteers to guarantee adequate coverage for volunteer events.

    + Researches and recommends civic organizations for the volunteer program.

    + Represents Columbia Bank at various civic and community functions to enhance the Bank's image in the community.

     

    Regulatory/Industry Knowledge and Training

     

    + Keeps up to date with changes in federal and state banking laws and regulations pertaining to CRA.

    + Attends in-person and online training as well as outside seminars and conferences as required.

    + Participates in the monitoring of regulatory expectations and research emerging best practices.

    Other Responsibilities

    + Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

    Requirements:

    + Bachelor's degree and three or more years of community development or customer service experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    + Strong interest in community development and social impact.

    + Familiarity with the CRA or a willingness to learn about regulatory frameworks.

    + Ability to travel to and participate in civic and community functions and events within the metropolitan area.

    + Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.

    + Strong Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills.

    + Strong organizational skills and attentive to details.

    + Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

    Schedule:
