Job Description
We’re looking for a **Manager, UX/UI Design** to shape the design vision and execution of applications that are purpose-built for commercial real estate (CRE) tenants. In this role, you will support CoStar Group’s CoStar Real Estate Manager and Visual Lease existing product lines, in addition to a larger, combined, new product to be launched that combines the best of both. This role is ideal for a seasoned designer who thrives in fast-paced, dynamic environments and enjoys leading a team to create intuitive, elegant, and scalable design systems.
You’ll be instrumental in crafting user experiences that solve complex workflows with simplicity and clarity. As the design leader, you’ll work closely with product managers and product owners, other designers, engineers, and stakeholders to bring ideas from concept to implementation. You will also serve as the liaison to other CoStar brand design teams to provide input and maintain alignment with design principles across the organization.
This position is full-time in the office and can be based in Woodbridge, New Jersey or Atlanta.
Responsibilities:
Lead End-to-End Product Design for the Tenant SaaS Platform
+ Own the full design lifecycle from UX discovery, wireframing, and prototyping to final UI and handoff.
+ Collaborate with product managers and engineers to define user journeys, flows, and edge cases.
+ Ensure every feature delivers simplicity, clarity, and measurable user value.
Manage and Mentor a Growing Design Team
+ Provide guidance, feedback, and support to team members across projects and career growth.
+ Set a high bar for design quality and consistency while fostering a collaborative, inclusive team culture.
+ Coordinate design resources across initiatives and ensure alignment with product roadmaps.
Establish and Maintain a Scalable Design System
+ Build and evolve a component-based design library in Figma that ensures consistency with existing CoStar products.
+ Define UI patterns, typography, color systems, and usage guidelines to support a cohesive visual language.
+ Partner with engineering to ensure design system components are implemented correctly and maintained over time.
Produce High- and Low-Fidelity Design Assets
+ Use approved design tools (e.g. Balsamiq) to quickly generate low-fidelity wireframes for ideation and early feedback.
+ Develop high-fidelity mockups and interactive prototypes in Figma to communicate design intent and user flow.
+ Iterate designs based on usability testing, stakeholder feedback, and evolving requirements.
Collaborate Cross-Functionally to Drive Product Success
+ Work closely with product and engineering leads to scope and prioritize features based on user and business needs.
+ Lead workshops, design reviews, and feedback sessions to align teams, customers and additional stakeholders around the best user experience.
+ Advocate for user-centered design principles and ensure accessibility and responsiveness across devices.
Basic Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree required from an accredited, not-for-profit University or College.
+ 6+ years of experience in UX/UI or product design.
+ 2+ years in a lead or managerial role.
+ Proven success designing complex, enterprise-level web applications.
+ Proficiency in Figma for high-fidelity design and component libraries.
+ Strong portfolio showcasing design leadership across full product cycles.
+ Demonstrated experience building and scaling design systems and design ops processes.
+ Effective communicator with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and executives.
+ Demonstrated experience conducting customer interviews to uncover user requirements, validate design decisions, and inform product strategy.
+ Comfortable in a fast-moving environment with shifting priorities.
+ A track record of commitment to prior employers.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Excitement for moving quickly on new ideas and a professional attitude towards seeing projects to completion.
+ A passion for solving problems for end users in the commercial real estate or B2B SaaS space (preferred).
