We are seeking a passionate and dedicated high school Physics Teacher to join our team for the start of the 2025/2026 school year from September to November. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Physics concepts and science standards and a proven ability to create an engaging and stimulating learning environment for diverse learners. We are looking for an educator committed to integrating technology effectively to enhance instruction, foster student collaboration, and personalize learning experiences.

Responsibilities:

+ Design and deliver high-quality Physics instruction aligned with the New York State Science Learning Standards and college-level standards (aligned to the College Board AP Program) and best practices.

+ Develop and implement lesson plans that utilize a variety of teaching strategies, including technology integration, project-based learning, hands-on and lab-based activities.

+ Assess student learning through formative and summative assessments, including the use of technology-based tools.

+ Collaborate with colleagues to develop and share best practices in teaching and learning.

+ Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about student progress.

+ Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with the latest advancements in science education and technology integration.

Qualifications:

+ Valid New York State Teaching Certificate.

+ Experience teaching Physics at the high school level preferred.

+ Experience teaching Advanced Placement Physics preferred.

+ Demonstrated proficiency in using technology to enhance instruction and engage students (e.g., Google Workspace, Smart Boards, Chromebooks, etc.)

+ Strong classroom management skills and the ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners.

+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
